Robert Scott serves as managing partner of Akerman’s Salt Lake City office. He is an experienced consumer and commercial litigator, representing clients in both complex commercial disputes and individual and class cases under federal and state consumer protection laws.

In the commercial context, Robert represents clients in all manner of contractual disputes, including licensing agreements, construction, natural resources, employment matters, and commercial real estate.

In the consumer context, Robert defends and advises clients in the financial services sector in matters involving federal and state laws pertaining to mortgages and foreclosure, credit cards and auto loans, and related origination, servicing, and marketing issues. He also represents manufacturers and distributors in claims involving prescription medication, medical devices, and other products. 

Robert practices nationally litigating disputes in both federal and state courts, with a focus on Utah, Idaho, and Tennessee.
