Robert Scott has experience litigating a wide variety of cases including consumer finance and mortgage litigation, business separation/valuation cases, contract disputes and adversary proceedings involving claims under the bankruptcy code. In recent years, Robert has devoted considerable focus to consumer finance litigation and related issues. In this area, he has defended lenders against claims arising under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and state laws pertaining to mortgages and foreclosure.
Robert also has counseled and advocated for numerous clients in the natural resources and energy industries, representing these clients in litigation, contract and settlement negotiations, as creditors in bankruptcy and as parties to bankruptcy-related litigation.
