For more than four decades, clients have turned to Lansing Palmer to protect their interests and rights in high-profile trusts and estates disputes as well as commercial and business litigation matters. Over his career, he has appeared in state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions, including a landmark case in the U.S. Supreme Court that established the test for "excusable neglect" for late filings in bankruptcy, and by extension other types of cases, and which has since been cited more than 16,000 times. Lansing serves as co-chair of Akerman's Probate and Fiduciary Litigation Practice.

Lansing has litigated numerous cases involving estate taxes and the valuation of complex assets. His experience also includes litigation risk analysis and alternative dispute resolution, as well as testimony at trial as an expert witness on issues of professional responsibility and the valuation of legal services.
