Joan Levit represents receivers and trustees in Ponzi scheme liquidation recoveries in federal district courts, bankruptcy courts and state courts. She has represented court-appointed receivers in cases before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, including Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. The Entertainment Group Fund, Inc. and American Enterprises, Inc. - a group of entertainment companies, including the world's second largest independent concert promoter, to liquidate diverse entertainment assets, including venues, shows, movies in order to repay approximately 3,750 investors owed more than $300 million; Federal Employee Benefits Group, Inc. and F&S Asset Management, Inc. - a $50 million Ponzi scheme which victimized approximately 300 FBI, DEA, and ICE agents in connection with non-existent bond fund; Wealth Pools International, Inc. and Recruit for Wealth, Inc. - a $136 million Ponzi scheme case involving 15,000 victims; The Cyprus Fund and related companies - a group of companies operating a $100 million Ponzi scheme; Ware Enterprises and Investments, Inc. - an investment firm engaged in a $30 million dollar Ponzi scheme. She also represents court-appointed receivers before the Circuit Courts in Florida, including Berman Mortgage Corporation/MAMC Incorporated – a mortgage origination business with approximately 650 investors and a mortgage servicer of real estate developments valued at more than $200 million; Service Five Investments, Inc. - a company engaged in making loans to active military personnel, which had debts of $36 million.

Her representative experience includes liquidating assets and resolving claim disputes in bankruptcy cases, including Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler - the liquidation of a law firm engaged in a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme bankruptcy case. Joan also represents trustees in corporate and individual Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases; she has researched, prepared, and argued motions for turnover of property, objections to claimed exemptions, and proceedings to deny discharge of debts. Joan has represented secured creditors and landlords in corporate and individual Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases, protecting their rights by seeking relief from the automatic stay, adequate protection payments, and payment of administrative claims. Joan defends creditors in bankruptcy adversary proceedings where trustee or debtor seek to avoid and recover alleged preferential or fraudulent transfers.

Joan has represented lenders in multi-million dollar commercial foreclosure proceedings throughout Florida. She also represents businesses as plaintiffs in commercial litigation matters focusing on landlord/tenant disputes, breach of contract, open account, and other recovery of goods or funds. Additionally, Joan represents creditors in post-judgment collections, executions, garnishments, and other recoveries.
