Richard Bezold, chair of the Akerman National Real Estate Practice Group, and Akerman Shareholders Manuel Fernandez, Russell Hale, Julie Williamson and Susanne Zabloudil recently participated in producing Florida Real Property Complex Transactions, 6th Edition, published by The Florida Bar and distributed by LexisNexis.

Bezold and Williamson co-chaired the steering committee for the publication. Fernandez wrote the chapter on Overview of Like-Kind Exchanges and Tenancy in Common Transactions; Hale wrote the chapter on Florida Intangible Tax; and, Zabloudil wrote the chapter on Hotels, Motels, Restaurants and Marinas.

The book is a practical guide to Florida real estate transactions. It explains steps to take in commercial developments, subdivisions and mobile home parks. It provides practical, step-by-step guidance for negotiating and drafting the necessary documents to complete these multifaceted transactions. It also contains countless sample provisions and forms, along with checklists and practice pointers, to ensure that all significant issues have been considered in these complex transactions.
