Akerman Senterfitt's Alan Aronson Elected Chair of The Florida Bar Board of Examiners

Akerman Senterfitt announced that Alan Aronson, a shareholder in the firm's Corporate Practice Group, has been elected chair of The Florida Bar Board of Examiners.
The board is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Florida created by the Court to handle matters of bar admission. Aronson most recently served as vice chair of the same board.

Aronson has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in public and private securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, advising broker-dealers and investment advisors, and providing counsel on corporate governance and compliance matters. He is the inaugural and current chair of the Dade County Bar Association's Business Law Committee and a past chair of the Corporations, Securities and Financial Services Committee of The Florida Bar's Business Law Section. Aronson has served as lead corporate and securities counsel to NYSE, Nasdaq, and OTC companies, is a FINRA trained dispute resolutions arbitrator, and is a frequent lecturer on securities and corporate topics. He is a contributing author to numerous publications, has been named in Florida Trend's Legal Elite, The Best Lawyers in America 2011 (Securities Law), Super Lawyers Magazine 2011, and was selected as the 2008 and 2011 Member of the Year for The Florida Bar Business Law Section.
