Richard Sharpstein was recently profiled on the front page of the Daily Business Review in the article, "Defense Attorney Richard Sharpstein to Join Akerman Senterfitt." The article provides details relating to Sharpstein's move to Akerman's White Collar Crime & Government Investigations Practice and describes him as one of South Florida's most prominent criminal defense attorneys. He has defended dozens of corporate executives, politicians, bankers, police officers and other public figures.  

James Miller, chair of the Akerman National Litigation Practice Group, was interviewed for the article. Miller was quoted as saying, "We're very excited to have Richard joining us. I've known him since he worked for [former Miami-Dade State Attorney] Richard Gerstein. I've always had the greatest admiration for him as a lawyer."
