Akerman Senterfitt represented The GEO Group, an industry leader in providing private correctional, detention, and residential treatment services to federal, state, and local government agencies, in the acquisition of Cornell Companies, Inc., a leading operator of 68 correctional and treatment facilities, listed on the NYSE for $685 million.
