State Jury Trial on Statutory Penalty:
Successfully first-chaired a week-long trial concerning statutory penalty for misrepresentation and concealment to a jury, obtaining a multi-million dollar judgment in favor of our clients.
Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practice Act:
Represented client in defense of putative class actions in courts across the country claiming breach of contract and deceptive trade practices for ancillary services and charges.
Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practice Act:
Represented a global delivery services company in defense of a putative class action case asserting claims of breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practice Act.
Legal Malpractice Litigation:
Represented a law firm defending malpractice and fraud claims with millions at stake.
Legal Malpractice Litigation:
Defended attorneys against malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Securities Class Action:
Defended a federal securities class action against a global technology distributor and its officers and directors.
Breach of Contract:
Represented an equipment rental agency in a class action matter based on allegations of wrongful or excessive charging for refueling and transportation.
Commercial Litigation:
Represented a direct response television network in an action involving tort and contract claims arising out of an alleged agreement to produce and broadcast live television events and for the mass marketing of products relating to those events.
Class Action Defense:
Represents clients in a wide variety of putative class actions across the country, with an emphasis on contractual and deceptive trade practices, as well as in defense against allegations for violations of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Constitutional Challenges:
Represented local municipalities in defense of challenges to the constitutionality of decisions and policies.
Bankruptcy & Ponzi-Scheme Litigation:
Represents creditors and Ponzi-scheme victims in bankruptcy matters, including adversary proceedings and federal court receivership proceedings.
Regulatory Defense:
Successfully represented an airport authority in defense of a Part 16 complaint.
Equine Law:
Successfully represented an event organizer in defense of a challenge to a bid application under the US Equestrian Federation rules.
